NEW YORK ( Reuters) – The influential American singer , songwriter and guitarist Lou Reed is Sunday at the age of 71 deceased . That is the authoritative American music magazine Rolling Stone reported . The British agent Lou Reed has confirmed the death of the newspaper The Guardian .
Which Reed is deceased , is not yet known . In May Reed underwent a liver transplant . Reed became famous as a solo artist , but also as a member of the band The Velvet Underground .
